The Meaning of Home Contest is open to students in Grades 4 through 6 are writing stories and poems
about what home means to them. Teachers AND parents AND
others who engage with youth are encouraged to get them
involved in this creative project. Students have the opportunity to
give back to their community in a fun and meaningful way. 

For every story or poem entered by a Huron County student,Habitat Huron County earns a $10 which helps us to build a homefor a local family. The national grand prize winner will receive a $30,000 grant for their local Habitat, an iPad plus a pizza party for their class. In addition, 9 runners up will get a $10,000 grant for their local Habitat.

Donating your time as a volunteer is another valuable way you can support Habitat Huron County.
