The local philanthropic group, 50 People Who Care generously selected Habitat Huron County as the recipient of its latest round of giving.
The group’s purpose is to make a significant donation to a worthy cause. One hundred percent of funds raised go directly to the local organizations. The goal is to support the important work of local charities through funding and providing exposure in a simple and time effective manner.
50 People Who Care meet four times a year for a one hour meeting. They hear presentations from three organizations. At the end of the presentations, the group votes and each member donates $100 to the chosen charity culminating in a gift of $5,000.
We are grateful for the donation and for their confidence in Habitat’s mission to bring communities together to help families build strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.
